There is more than one way to be useful.
Field teams need hands, partners, money raised in places we will never get to, and the occasional visitor who reads the calendar first. Below is what we are actually short of.
Volunteer a skill.
Most of what we need is a few hours a month, done well and done repeatedly. Some of it is on the ground in a district and some of it is not. Tell us what you can do and a programme lead will write back, whether or not there is a place for it right now.
Partner with us.
Write to programmes@seeds-ofhope.com with the district you work in and what you are trying to fix. A programme lead replies, not an inbox.
Schools and health facilities
If you already serve one of our districts, we can fund what you are short of and share the attendance and weight data both of us need.
Companies and trusts
Restricted or unrestricted, single year or multi-year. We report against whatever framework you use, and we will send you the ledger.
District health offices
We work inside the district plan, not alongside it. Ask us for our activity calendar and we will align ours to yours.
Raise money where you already are.
A church collection. A school sports day. A birthday you would rather not be given things for. A run. A match from the company you work for. None of it needs to be large to be worth doing.
Tell us what you are planning and we will send you three things: photographs you are allowed to use, a short explanation of where the money goes, and a total to aim at that matches something real, such as a term of school fees or a round of screening in one village.
Come and see it, on the calendar’s terms.
Visitors are welcome. Visits are arranged around the field calendar rather than the visitor’s, which sometimes means a date months out and sometimes means a week’s notice when a team is already going.
We do not host visits during a screening or a delivery. A mother in labour is not a site visit, and a queue of children being weighed does not move faster with an audience. Write to us with the window you have and we will tell you honestly what falls inside it.
Money is still the fastest way in.
Hands, partnerships and a collection at the back of a church all matter. But a gift today pays for a scale, a term of fees or a midwife's fuel this month, without waiting for a calendar to line up.
