Koboko

West Nile. Working here since 2021.

Koboko sits at the border with South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and its population moves. The health centres serve refugees and hosts from the same queue. Distance is the binding constraint here: a mother who lives forty minutes from a facility on a dry path lives much further from it in the wet season.

What the team is short of here.

Written by the field officer in Koboko and reviewed each quarter. It is the honest list, not the tidy one.

  1. 01

Transport vouchers for the wet season, when costs roughly double

  2. 02

A third screening site to cut the walk from Ludara parish

  3. 03

Refresher training for midwives at two health centres

Fund the next quarter in Koboko.

Give to the district and the field team spends it against the list above, in the order it is written.
