All newsWhy we turned down funding to open in three more districts
A funder approached the organisation last year with an offer contingent on opening in three additional districts inside eighteen months.

The board declined. The reasoning was that our follow-up model depends on field staff who live within reach of the households they visit, and recruiting, training and supervising three new teams on that timetable would have meant lowering that bar in all four existing districts as well as the new ones.
We would rather cover four districts properly than seven on paper. The offer stands open if the timetable changes.
